Yesterday I wrote that Web Developer 1.1.7 was released. Now a mere 24 hours later Web Developer 1.1.8 is available. The Firefox and Seamonkey versions of the extension were combined and a bug when trying to ‘View Generated Source’ was corrected.

Firebug has helped me on numerous occasions with my debugging. Just the other day I was baffled by something with my vBulletin software and Firebug helped me find the necessary code that I needed to fix.
You can have Firebug take up your whole screen or you can adjust it take up just a little bit of your screen real estate as I do.

I’m a Web Designer/Developer so for everyone using Firefox, and for everyone not using Firefox, do yourself a favor and pick up this handy plugin. The extension adds a menu and a toolbar with various development tools to your screen.
You can work on a site’s CSS styling, forms, images, and inspect the HTML among many other things. And the tool is quite customizable. If anything it should get you to stop using Internet Explorer.
