9 Tips on Keyword Placement
How many times have you typed in a keyword in a Google search and wondered “How in the world did this website make Google’s top ten?”
Well here’s a list of 9 tips on keyword placement that I’ve compiled. And, believe me I need to practice these tips more frequently myself.
-
* Put keywords in the text body. The point here is the keyword is placed on the content or the main points of a page on your website. Please note if you want to put the keywords in the text body do not be too often repeated, may be considered spam by search engines. Keep your body text contains a minimum of 200 words that are relevant.
* Put the keyword in the title of each web page (Title).
* Put your keywords in headings (H1 or H2), usually placed in the first paragraph of each page.
* Put keywords in the links text.
* Write your keywords in the first 20-30 words on your pages.
* Put the keyword in the last paragraph of the content of your pages.
* Put keywords in your website domain name. I didn’t know any better and did not practice this tip myself. Though I know many people who have named their website or blog after themselves.
* Place your keywords in image ALT text.
* Put keywords in the text attributes Tittle (ALT Text) of a link.
